There was a time when a couple didn’t have to be concerned with the creation of their wedding ceremony. If you married inside of your family’s house of worship, more than likely the Officiant was also the Rabbi, or Priest, Elder or Minister that presided over the community. There was a fixed way to perform a marriage ceremony and there was very little co-creation involved in the way you wanted it to be. It’s a different era now.
